February Project 2012

This year for the February Project we decided to go organic! There are four categories:

Week one: EARTH (photos due 2/08/12)
Week two: WIND (photos due 2/15/12)
Week three: FIRE (photos due 2/22/12)
Week four: WATER (photos due 2/29/12)



Here are the rules:
Submit 1-3 photos that best represent the week's theme.
We will have only one week per category so don't procrastinate!
Late entries WILL NOT be featured on the blog.
You DO NOT have to be a professional photographer to play!
Please submit photos to gnubill@yahoo.com
Photos must be 900x600 pixels to display properly.
Camera phone photos are not eligible.
Photos will be posted each Thursday.
This project is just for fun, all you win are bragging rights!

Monday Mayhem: January 30, 2012

Heather and Nick Engagement

When Heather and Nick suggested doing their engagement photos in their own backyard, we were hesitant. Just like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get. But their yard had plenty of character and we had great fun working with them!

Bodie ghost Town, Part Two

Bodie Ghost Town

Bodie Ghost Town is the official ghost town of California. A mining boom town, it was known as a rough place with killings nearly every day. It was a place so tough that one little girl who learned she was moving there wrote, "Goodbye God, I am going to Bodie."

Today it is a town forgotten by time. The historical society keeps the town in a state of arrested decay. Basically, they are not restoring the town but are maintaining it so it does not crumble and fade away.

We recently spent a few hours in Bodie and if you have never been, I hope these photos entice you to visit.
