Steampunk Rock

We started the year off with an amazing photo shoot! Once again we asked Maili Tom, aka Celestial Raven, our favorite model and good friend, if she would be up for the shoot and once again, she came through! We wanted to do our first steampunk themed photo shoot and when Maili showed up with dreadlocks, we weren't sure how that would work. After reviewing the photos I think we have created a new genre called STEAMPUNK ROCK! We took over Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles for about an hour and the soft light filtering through was amazing! It is times like these that make our jobs so easy. Maili was a pro as always, holding her composure even as one of the...uh...more vocal patrons yelled at her to smile, screaming "You have no soul!" All I can say is, I know Maili and she has plenty of soul. Jewelry and other props were supplied by AzuWish Designs and really helped pull the entire shoot together. Evelyn and I always look forward to a day with Maili...good times, good photos and lots of fun.

Monday Mayhem: June 11, 2012

Did you miss us? We missed you...each and every one of you...well...most of you anyway...uh...let's get to the game! After a holiday and a sick day, we are back with this week's Monday Mayhem! This week's mystery photo seems pretty easy to us, but we've said that before and been surprised at how long it took, so perhaps us already knowing what it is skews our opinions! Zombie Walk 2011

It was like a scene from The Walking Dead! Thousands of zombies converged on downtown Long Beach this weekend. It was a surreal night that ended in many of the members of Oingo Boing reuniting for a concert. No Danny Elfman was a no-show but the show was alot of fun. While we did not "shoot" the event, here are a few snapshots.
