Artistic Endeavors

We recently had the pleasure of attending an art show opening for an amazing artist named Christine Spera! Her art is vibrant and weird and truly fantastic! I really wanted to win one of her canvas mounted pieces in the raffle, I even offered her a bribe, but alas I didn't win. Christine was kind enough to give me a signed print however and it is currently being framed so I can hang it over my desk. She is a young creative talent and her first show had an amazing turnout, in fact the event was wall to wall people for the entire evening! Check out her Facebook page and say hello. end

Monday Mayhem: June 11, 2012

Did you miss us? We missed you...each and every one of you...well...most of you anyway...uh...let's get to the game! After a holiday and a sick day, we are back with this week's Monday Mayhem! This week's mystery photo seems pretty easy to us, but we've said that before and been surprised at how long it took, so perhaps us already knowing what it is skews our opinions! Catch a buzz!

Stay at the beautiful Fairmont Hotel in Newport Beach and you might notice that they use products made with honey. On the menu at Bambu, their amazing resturaunt, several entrees include honey as do the hand soap and shampoo in the rooms. What you don't know is that the Fairmont Hotel has some guests who prefer to sleep on the roof. The rooftop bees produce approximately 80 pounds of honey every year. Estimated at well over 300,000 bees by the beekeeper, we were fortunate enough to visit these nectar loving insects.
